Saskia Kresse
I am Saskia, a Berlin-based artist currently studying biology. My current creative practice spans painting, ceramics, and drawing. My work focuses on capturing and magnifying details of everyday life, emphasizing the emotions and essence of my subjects rather than their literal appearance.
I completed a ceramics apprenticeship in the Philippines, an experience that deeply influenced my approach to materials and technique. Through my art, I aim to express feelings and ideas that I can’t easily put into words.
In my portrait series, I explore how emotions can be translated into visual forms, creating work that invites viewers to connect with what lies beneath the surface.
