Doris Hansen
I am Doris Hansen, currently based in Berlin-Neukölln.
In my work, which i call microworlds, I develop artificial paradises deriving from small natural phenomena. The microworlds consist of objects and drawings.
My Materials are as far from nature as possible and industrially made, such as modelling clay, styrofoam, synthetic textiles, LED and feltpen. The artificiality of this perfect and glamorous world of plastic splendor is intensified by the integration of forms, which immerse the viewer into the extraterrestrial fantasies of early science-fiction films and comics.
